Have you heard this saying before from some Instagram trend-setting life-coach business mind-set guru who just so happens to be selling an online course on how to turn your business into a SUCCESS, SIX FIGURES, and also turn all your woes into sweet honey to add to your holistic tea?
“Find your Zone of Genius”

I come from a long line of men who rush into burning buildings. In fact, there’s a street in Huntsville, Ontario that all firefighters must race down to arrive at the Huntsville Fire Department and despite my best efforts of continuing to scan through the Canadian Community Digital Archives I could not find the exact date that Payne Dr. came into existence. What I do know is that my father is a firefighter, his father was a firefighter, his brother was a firefighter, and their father was a Fire Chief. Don’t worry- I’m not going to suggest that accounting and business management is as heroic as rushing into burning buildings ; I mention this only because the definition of “emergency” means something very specific to me.

When I opened my virtual doors at Breeze Business Management and started growing the team, I knew I didn’t want an office. I wanted a team that was composed of people who appreciated working from home, remotely. I wanted a team interested in working on their schedule; individuals committed to finding their own individual balance on what works for them, and the work that needs to get done for the clients. I strongly believe that working apart, does not equate to working apart.
The 🦴 Story
As I continue to work with business owners, my personal story of entrepreneurship becomes increasingly relevant because there are literally thousands of competitors, especially now as accounting moves to a more virtual environment. You can search “bookkeepers near me” and you’ll be inundated with options. So why should you work with Breeze Business Management? Why should you trust us with an x-ray machine that will see the bones of YOUR business? It’s an important question and for those of you who are asking it, we’ve decided to hold the x-ray machine up to our own business, to take a closer look at how we work at Breeze, and why.

🦴(1) It doesn’t matter what the business is, at least one of your arms must make money. Like writing commercials, or being an elf, any step forward will result in experience, money (hopefully) and a deeper understanding of why you’re in business.
🦴 (2) Grants do indeed exist out there, but they should absolutely never be relied on for business.
🦴(3) Titles/credentials both matter, and don’t matter. It’s very challenging to know the situation in which they should be ignored or highlighted.
🦴 (4) Sometimes, you just get lucky.
🦴 (5) It’s OK not to be an expert in something, but you should try to better understand the role so you can, at a bare minimum, value the role.
